Your adventure begins with a visit to the heart of the country, Lima. The Sacred Valley

Days six to nine are dedicated to spending time in the Sacred Valley of the Incas and Machu Picchu. Here, you will enjoy a fully immersed experience as you tour the circular terraces of Moray and the town of Maras. Experience an authentic Incan traditional ceremony in honour of Pachamama, also referred to as Mother Earth. Throughout your stay in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, you will take part in many other traditional practices such as a traditional Andean ceremony celebrating Mother Earth by preparing a special dish called Pachamanca, as well as a weaving workshop where you will learn about the different textiles and methods from the local craftspeople. Finally, you will visit the serene ancient Inca ruins in Machu Picchu, which is home to phenomenal views, as well as the sacred Citadel, before it is time for your next stop.

Cusco - The Inca Capital

The final stretch of your trip will have you enjoying Cusco – the city which was once the capital of the Inca Empire. You will explore the city by foot, together with your guide: a local expert, grandson of one of the first and most prominent indigenous Latin American photographers of the 20th century, known for his black and white portraits and landscapes of the Peruvian Andes and its people.Watch as you will be transported back in history during your tour as you learn about the ancient tales and legends of each historical site. Explore the ancient Inca capital of Cusco with a local guide who is an expert in the city's rich history. Visit the legendary Koricancha temple and the grand Cathedral in Plaza de Armas. Wrap up your tour with a visit to San Blas, the bohemian quarter where creativity thrives. Spend your final evening of the trip surrounded by stunning art and soak up the vibrant atmosphere.
